A Great Read!

I liked reading Taken by me Twin Stepbrothers, all about Damian & Angel my stepbrothers and me their step-sister. You see I was adopted when I was thirteen and have always had two amazing stepbrothers that looked after me and really made me feel like one of the family! The author wrote an interesting story, and the characters bring the story to life. I'm back for a weekend visit and they brought me to the lake, now I'm thinking I should see if I can get a month off and stay at the lake with my stepbrothers! If you like taboo stories that are hot & steamy and make you wet, then this series is right for you! I can't wait to read book two.

This is a quick read. (lunch time). There isn't anything I can say bad about it!. Only thing I wish it was a longer read :) The characters are amazing. And I want more of them LOL

Comprehensive overview of the Moa

This volume is one that has been extensively researched and must rate as one of the best works on the Moa. Most species are covered and there is a lot of detail on distribution plus a variety of photographic and sketch representations of remains ie; bones, mummified 'bits and pieces' and egg shards. A lot of very detailed analysis of archaeological digs, as well as accounts from Maori records adds a lot of credibility to this excellent scientific report.

This book surpassed my expectations. It has become a wonderful resource for restorative yoga, both as a teacher and in my personal practice. I enjoy Carey's clear, concise writings and appreciate her thoughtful use of language as she describes yoga therapy, and its focuses and benefits.

The Ultimate Restorative Yoga Therapy Resource

As a teacher and huge fan of restorative yoga therapy, I was excited to receive Carey's book and learn more about the Yapana Way to Self-Care and Well-Being. I love how she differentiates between "doing" poses and "being" poses with her system of yoga, and clearly explains the differences between the two as well as why both are necessary in a yoga practice.

I was excited to discover new ways to work with props to support my students and clients (of all abilities) fully relax into restorative yoga poses, and I was thrilled to have some new restorative yoga therapy sequences for specific issues, including pms, immunity enhancer, tension tamer and active recovery for athletes. Overall her descriptions and instructions, from how to fold and place the props to getting into the poses and how to modifying with more props, are easy to follow and accessible to brand new yogis. And the time table in the back is super helpful.

However, I was most impressed by Carey's ability to clearly break down and describe all of the various elements, benefits and challenges of restorative yoga therapy and the attention she gives to the process of moving inwards —�doing less and feeling more. If you're on the fence about restorative yoga, the first chapter of "Restorative Yoga Therapy" will have you convinced. And if you teach restorative yoga therapy, you definitely want to check this book out, it's a great companion and offers some unique insight.

Where else can you get this much value for so little?

Carlton's writing style really is inimitable. That's one of the reasons this book is such a pleasure to read.

Few people have a large repertoire of interesting life experiences that provides the material for good stories. Fewer still have the ability to tell those stories in a way that makes you pay attention and keep flipping pages.

Carlton is one of those guys.

Now I can't say for sure, but I believe this book (Volume One) is a collection of past issues of Carlton's Marketing Rebel Rant... with the added bonus of having them organized in a more-or-less logical order.

The first half of the book deals more with life and success principles while the latter half deals more with the principles and techniques of writing good sales copy.

I'm already looking forward to Volume Two.

Best audience for this book: direct response marketers, advertisers, copywriters, street smart entrepreneurs, and eager guys just getting started. I would also recommend this book to branding advertisers because it would do them a lot of good to read it -- but I somehow doubt they'd jibe with the lessons.

Don't post another ad until you read this book

I've been reading and learning from John Carlton's books and blogs for nearly a decade, so it's very exciting to see his work available here on Amazon. If you're tired of sifting through the seemingly peak-less mountain of sales books that regurge the same basic principle over and over, then prepare to have your core shaken and your brain stirred.

Carlton is the straight shooting old school sales wizard who pioneered the art of selling online. Not by creating tech happy sales pages and "hypnotic" sales videos, but by applying the proven psychology of never-fail salesmanship to the new medium in a way that is bold and seamless.

If you have a desire to "sell without selling" this is not the book for you. Carlton would tell you there is no such thing. However if you have a product that you know is the best solution for your prospect and want to be sure they don't leave your page without feeling the impact of your message, then you should not write one more ad without first reading this book.

Closely allied to the Pharaoh were the priests and the state officials, form the Vizier to the Chancellor to such lesser officials as the Director of the King's Dress; the facts about their interrelationships, roles, and modes of life make for the most interesting kind of reading here. Not surprisingly, architects and craftsmen played a highly important part in what was, despite its pomp and magnificence, an eminently practical culture; and White gives us a fine account of their methods and meaning to the life of Egypt. A complete chapter is devoted to the commoner, the peasant, the man who brought food for all from the soil along the river and on whose labor all of Egypt's achievements were built.
One of the most valuable portions of this book is its historical section. In three chapters we are given, in vivid capsule form, the entire history of ancient Egypt from prehistoric times to the end of the dynasties. A fold-out chart enables the reader to relate the various periods quickly. Maps of the ancient region are provided; and for this edition an expanded, updated bibliography has been compiled.

Take a tour of the Nile, its people and their Gods.

This is an informative and comprehensive introduction to Egyptology. Starting with an analysis of the Nile and how this majestic river is pivotal to understanding this ancient culture, White brings us through a descriptive tour of each of the important contributors to Ancient Egyptian culture; the Pharoh, the Priest, the Architect, the Craftsman and the commonly disregarded peasant. This book, albeit occasionally too factual, has a wealth of information included in its mere 200 pages. The three historical chapters are a welcome synthesis to all of the factual data that was presented earlier. The fold-out summary of the major Pharohs, architectural advances and other contemporary cultures is great for keeping all of the important dates, places and people straight. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning about the wonders of Egypt.

Think Like an Egyptian

I have only a passing interest in Egypt, but I came across this at a used bookstore and thought it looked good so I picked it up. I'm very glad I did, because it was a fascinating read --well written and well organized. I was most amazed by how the author is able to take you from a familiar western mindset, and put you into the mind-boggling Egyptian mindset. I was raised in both a western and eastern culture and the values and outlook of the Ancient Egyptians is unlike anything I have ever experienced. This mind shift is all done smoothly and painlessly, and will give you a better appreciation for their values and ways of thinking and possibly change the way you see life as well. This is very crucial in order to understand how their society worked, and how to interpret the history they have left behind.

I highly recommend it for anyone who knows little about Ancient Egyptian culture and history, and would be curious to know more. You don't need to be scholarly or intensely interested in Egypt to enjoy it. It's a fairly small book, about the size of a typical trade paperback-- not an intimidating tome or textbook, but still packed with excellent information that will satisfy a more than introductory interest in Ancient Egypt.

Gem of a Book

I loved this book. It was the first book I bought on ancient Egyptian culture and I think it was the best choice I could possibly make. Jammed packed with information and illustrations. It's certainly worth owning this gem.
